The best part of this process is having someone model the steps for you. Dan has done that with me and I have a whole new approach to assignments and thoughtful research. Being mindful of the first step- the task definition- is key to its success.
Another thought, I realize the freedom I have to be teaching language arts and social studies in using essential questions. The more the kids can explore and discover on their own.
The Infotech site is great with a TON of excellent resources and help for teachers!

Dan certainly makes it happen, Sarah. Be sure to follow up with your own version as you feel more comfortable with the concepts he introduces. Our goal as an InfoTech team is to spread the word so that lots of classrooms get working this way. Dan's got others to "infect" this way.
