Is that the end of the BIG6 Tunnel?

While not exactly where I'd like to be on one of the best days of the year (so far), I did learn that the 'doggy' button wraps text around word art in Publisher.

What more can a girl ask for?

Looking forward to seeing everyone's end product on Thursday...

Class # 10

Delicious was fun and interesting because we got to 'play' and explore (which we should let our students do more often) a topic of our own choosing (read: not related to Big 6). Steve is now in my network because he can do the digging for me- hey! I like that. I'm glad this class was more hands on, not that we don't love to listen- aren't we the WORST students? Hands on is great!!!!! Thanks!

View my power point

I like my powerpoint...how not to run the Beach to Beacon. Time to play with software or programs is so rare but one of the BEST parts of this class! Thanks!

Class #7

Well the best part of the text box/ highlight feature in regards to notetaking is that it makes it easy and for some kids who are intimidated about writing or losing papers it would work great.
Bubbl.us worked well when I was on there but bugs should be worked out before introducing to whole class of kiddos.

Calculator in search bar...lifesaver for the math impaired (me).

wikiiiiiiii

I love the wiki idea of creating a class Cliff notes for several different novels. The kids can read same book in small groups and then make a wiki including some major things we have covered this year so far. For example, asking deeper questions, summarizing plot, point of view, setting, close reading strategies. Then other groups can read and evaluate botht he novel and the wiki....COOL!

I need a whole day to wrap my brain around the resources available in the marvel database! Can we use a half day to explore and share findings? That would be a great collaborative project for the teachers of the district: take the half day visit two ro three sites on Marvel and report back on the SPSDwiki...imagine the time saved and resources then used!

Blogs are great- instead of a formal way out or in to class you can have your say- and not in a "whip" or protocol. Thanks for sharing your plethora of knowledge with us!
